If you ever set up one of those inflatable pools and the instruction say something to the effect of "make sure you set this up on level ground," they don't mean level as in "this looks pretty level to me," they mean level as in use a level to find a flat spot.
In our haste we set up the girls' pool on sloping ground. We know because their pool had a deep end and a shallow end. So this morning we drained it, moved it to an almost perfectly level ground and refilled it. It's now in a more shady spot so the water won't warm as quickly, but we realized that we can fill it using the water from our hot water heater, so it's all good.
Just some advice from those of us who are making the mistakes!
