The last day: Miami

On Friday we had breakfast in the formal dining room again. We packed up the night before so after breakfast we found a spot on the pool deck and played a few last games of Shoot the Moon. We made our way leisurely off the ship with our luggage, went through customs and took the shuttle to the car rental place. We drove back to the suite that Frank and Heather had reserved but because it was way before check-in time we had some time to kill. Again, we found a spot to play some dominoes and then kicked back in their lounge, watched some t.v., napped a little, and enjoyed their free wi-fi.

When we got into the room we decided naps were in order so we all rested until around 5:00. Then we decided to take a drive up to the everglades and see if we could find a crocodile. We did!

The weather was hot and humid, and there was a storm brewing a ways away, making absolutely beautiful cloud formations.

We realized that the storm was fast-approaching so we headed back towards Miami, stopping at one of Frank and Heather's favorite restaurants: Crackerbarrel. It's a southern down-home cooking place where you can get things like fried okra and Coca Cola cake. Absolutely delicious!

We made our way back to the hotel for our last night's sleep for this vacation. The beds there are delicious. I've never slept in a more comfortable bed!

Here is the first croc we saw. We ended up seeing a few more.
