How was he to know that getting tangled up with this admittedly very nice woman would change his life forever?
How was he to know that his very uncomplicated bachelorhood would morph into not only having a wife and two daughters, but also a seemingly endless supply of grandchildren?
Obviously he couldn't, or he probably would have left the very nice woman alone.
Thankfully he stepped into the role of husband, dad, and grandfather seamlessly, painlessly (at least he doesn't let on), and so naturally that you never would have thought he was at one time a carefree bachelor with plenty of time to read books on a Saturday morning.
