Keeping us on our toes

On Tuesday morning Don left at 5:45 to work in Richmond. He can generally start his car and drive away without making much noise or waking anyone. But Tuesday when he started the car it made a racket that you just wouldn't believe. It sounded like the whole engine was rattling around in there with a couple of pots and pans. I couldn't believe that our almost brand new Toyota could have such a horrible problem so early in its life. But then it quieted down and I forgot all about it and went back to sleep.

When Don came home he told me that someone (Nick) had put rocks in his tailpipe on Monday night and that's why the car was making that horrible sound. It's amazing what kids will do when they're not supervised closely enough!

sounds like Nick knows exactly how to be creative and mischeveous without hurting the new car too much. Just as long as he doesnt start using rocks to scratch the paint off of the car you should be happy with him.

Obviously Gate Tender isn't a challenging enough job for Nick. He needs a little variety.. at least he didn't get in and drive it!
